Far Out Farms - 5x7 Folded Card

Pack Size
  • Driving around Old Mission, you may have come across this unusual barn and wondered, "What's that all about?" Well, from the 1970s into the 1980s, Far Out Farms was a bit of an enigma in the farming community on the Old Mission Peninsula. Far Out Farms was so named because it was one of the farthest farms out on the Peninsula, but most people thought it was because the term was used profusely by the 1960s refugees who worked and lived there.

Local farmers were skeptical that much would come out of such an operation, but Far Out Farms thrived and expanded to five farms, producing bumper crops of high quality fruit, along with the most fun and greatest times ever. I know. I was there.

The operation ended when the owner moved to California to pursue other endeavors and adventures, but the spirit of good times and good work lives on through all of us here on the Old Mission Peninsula. - Tim Boursaw
