Built in 1842, the historic Peter Dougherty house was the first timber frame home between Mackinac and Grand Rapids. Lovingly restored by the Peter Dougherty Society, the home is a beautiful tribute to the history of Old Mission Peninsula. This photo was taken by Jane Johnson Boursaw, co-owner of Old Mission Peninsula Store and its sister site, Old Mission Gazette.
